No Other Program Can Compare

Dyslexia Therapy of Pittsburg Helps Kids.

Using biological, health, and neurological brain architecture research from Harvard’s Center on the Developing Child, as well as learning theory used at MIT, we create individualized plans for children like no other. Using neural plasticity theory, the idea that we can grow and improve brain connections, we affect change through physical, mental, and academic exercises that are unique to each child.

Research in Reading A Key Component to Successful Outcomes

Nearly two-thirds of U.S. children in 3rd – 4th grade cannot read efficiently for functional understand and comprehension (Wolf, Reader Come Home, 7/2018). This is a dismal statistic and one that demands a better way of teaching than is currently in place. At Dyslexia Therapy of Pittsburgh, we use the latest reading research to drive our interventions. Additionally, we have advanced certifications in reading facilitation and methodology, well beyond graduate level studies.

To greater understand the depth of reading knowledge that Dyslexia Therapy of Pittsburgh holds, please view the example book cited above by Maryanne Wolf, Reader, Come Home. Her book is research heavy and to show her credibility, check out her CV at Maryanne Wolf’s CV.

Handwriting Success Through One on One Consultation Works

At Dyslexia Therapy of Pittsburgh we realize that it’s not only important what tools we use, but how we put them into our therapy plan. Research shows again and again that one-on-one consultation as a model for therapy works very well and that children are successful when provided handwriting instruction in a one-on-one manner. When it comes to handwriting therapy we have the research to prove we know what to do. We can help your child.
